Our group consists of "real friends" and family members who have been involved in the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo World's Championship Bar-B-Que, and the Fort Bend County Fair& Bar-B-Quefor many, many years. The Fire in the Hole Cookers was founded & assembled in early 1994 by Michael Stinson, when he decided it was time to start his own team and do things a little different. He change it buy raising funds to helping out under privlage children with the HLSR Carnival Ticket Sales Committee and not just another Party & Bar-B-Que. In 1995 New Team Member Tommy Cangelosi came aboard and Michael & Tommy took the team from 50 to 100 people comming in to eat Bar-B-Que in 1994 to over 400 people with Entertainment from Brian & Kevin Black form Katy Texas. Fire in the Hole Cookers has always had a history of having the best fun time of every event we have been in over the years. The year 1996 brought not only the Teams new One of a Kind Custom made 11,000 lb. Bar-B-Que Pit, but also a renewed outlook on our approach to friendships, team work, and most of all, good barbecue. As each year passes, it seems that our events as a whole gets larger and more more exciting. To accomodate for this growth, the Fire in the Hole Cookers expanded to provide additional space for our guests to enjoy the fun, food and activities.

Weighing in at approximately 11,000 lbs. and standing over 11 feet tall, our smoking pit is large enough to accommodate well over 800 pounds of meat, sleepiing quarters & A/C while cooking a large pot of beans or the now famous Fire in the Hole Cookers Bar-B-Que Beans on end of the fire box.

Fire in the Hole Cookers has the knowledge and experience to provide an exciting family atmosphere with plenty of fun and lots of good barbecue. The Fire in the Hole Cookers offers the ideal atmosphere to entertain your friends, co-workers, sponsors, and even your clients. After all, everybody knows the best thing to do at a Bar-B-Que Contest Eat, Drink, Dance, & People watch. When you cross the gates into the Fire in the Hole Cookers event, it's unlike any Bar-B-Que party you've seen before. It is a party for the senses, lights are flashing to the sound of the most current country and pop hits played, along with some old Southern Classic Rock by our very own Fire in the Hole Cookers disc jockey. Guests are gathered around enjoying Texas Best Margaritas in Houstons Largest Trailered Bar in town. We are the team that knows how to Cook & throw a party. In 2006 Sheri Moore has brought her talent to the Fire in the Hole Cookers & joined the Houston Live Stock Show & Rodeo Carnival Ticket Sales Committee along with Michael Stinson. Sheri was Committeeman Rookie of the year in 2007 as seen in the Houston Chroncle News Paper. With Sheri's talent The Fire in the Hole Cooking team will be in new events in the North West Houston, Woodlands, Spring, & Tomball events this comming cooking season. A special Thank You goes out to Tommy Cangelosi for all his hard work & great leadership this past year.
